One of the biggest challenge we have with symptom work is our alarm system/ hyper alert focus created in us, which end up producing more stress hormone in our body and increase and enhance our symptom. From decade of work Iv'e learned it's the same for chronic pain syndromes as it is from panic attacks, hormonal imbalances and more. This is a small tool, first step I teach my clients so they could learn their system and feel less overwhelmed and stuck in the loop of their symptom.
